My Background

I am a writer, content creator, freelance writer, and micro-influencer. I know, that is a lot, and I am working on even more. I have big dreams, and big goals, and I hope that I can document every moment of this amazing journey.

Let’s give some context to my life – I was the second kid of four and I absolutely adore my siblings. I have an older sister and two younger brothers and we are all so close yet so different, and I think that is what makes out family dynamic so amazing.

When I was growing up, I was the biggest bookworm (and still am), and I always had a passion for writing. Because of this, I went to school and got my Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education with an emphasis in creative writing. After graduating, I got my Single Subject Teaching Credential in English and taught 7th Grade Language Arts for two years. While I loved my students, I found myself dreading work every day and not enjoying my life. I didn’t think that was how I wanted to live, so I quit in June of 2022.

My Book

While in college, a lot of exciting things happened. I began freelance writing, and I loved it. It got me through college and it is the reason I was able to leave my teaching position. At the same time, I finally self-published my first collection of short stories titled, “Don’t Show, Don’t Tell: A Collection of Short Stories” by Abigail Lane. It’s on Amazon!

During my first year of teaching, I got married to my high school sweetheart, Steven, and we adopted our baby Mini Australian Shepherd, Apollo. He was the love of our life but unfortunately passed away in December 2021. Out of the blue, two new Toy Aussies entered our lives, Nacho and Milou (Me-Loo), and they filled the void that was left when our baby passed.

My Goals

Now that I am not teaching, I feel my creative juices flowing again, and it feels amazing, but that doesn’t mean it is all easy. I struggle pretty badly with anxiety and even worse with imposter syndrome. No matter what I am doing, I constantly second-guess myself and tell myself that I don’t fit in there, but that is why I am starting this journey – to prove myself wrong.

After quitting, I got very interested in social media and content creation. I have grown my social media platform over 400 followers in a month and I am very active on TikTok as well. I am starting a YouTube channel as well too! I love clothing, I love fashion, and I love finding cool places to take photos and explore which is exactly why I created this blog. I feel that this platform is the perfect opportunity to mix everything I love into one – writing, fashion, and travel. It is the best of all worlds!

My goal with this blog is to share my journey with social media, show tips and tricks that I have learned, explore fashion trends, and find cool places in different cities to take photos/grow your account.

I hope you will join me on this journey and I cannot wait to see where it takes us!
